College bound

Last weekend after a confusing morning mix-up of plans during one of my sister moves down to cs for medical school, we very last minute decided to help out with the problem and road tripped it down there.

We were blessed to see her get her white coat during the ceremony and visiting with family

We also took advantage of the hotel room stay with swimming and running to a late night movie date since we had babysitters staying with us :)

a whirl wind of a weekend turned out to be a fun blessing and trip for us. 

Bowling

We were invited out to bowl with one of May little friends.

 It was her first trip and we had quite a blast! Plus a nice way to beat the heat :) An indoor activity! Yay!!

Zoo trip

On a cooler July day(ie, in the 80,90 range instead of 100+)
Me and my girl took a last minute morning trip to the zoo. We had SO much fun! Just a playdate of us two checking out all the animals and discovering new things.

 She was fascinated by all the animals and was even my super brave girl wanting to pet the snake!
All on her own!

I'm so glad we went on this impromptu trip. 

It was a great bonding time with my girl and we can't wait to go back in the fall!

Summer heat wont beat me

So we have been so so blessed to have a mild summer this year. After last year very brutal heat wave (plus our a/c being out for parts of it) its been a huge relief to have low 90 around these parts and even rain popping up! With that being said its still quite warm and summer time! We are starting to go a bit stir crazy around these parts. So we decided we didn't care how sweaty we get and brought lots of water with us as we trek on over to the park! We had so much fun and so worth it! It was what we needed for the day, just pure fun outside play! And it makes us eager for the fall months just around the corner!

Early morning hello

a few days ago we got up early to head to the airport to visit with Uncle B while he had a layover. He was coming back from serving in Mexico and was sharing all his stories. We were so blessed to get to see him for the few hours and hug his next before heading on home to Tennessee. 

First braids

I had the pure joy of putting braids in this sweet girl curly locks. I've had tons of practice on my sisters and little ones I've use to babysit back in the day. But there was something oh so special about doing my own little girls head of hair. She sat patiently as I tackled the curls. and it turned out pretty darn sweet!

Last Friday we went out to see a super talented band Jenny &Tyler.

Some Aunts came with us for the evening.

 It was at a small church on the other side of town.
literally the opposite side of the metroplex from us.
 But oh so worth the drive to see these two perform

 And someone, who shall remain nameless, doses not nap anymore so was out by 8:30 on my lap

Love it thou, reminds me of her little bitty self  :)
