New Year Day

New years day was a hard one for me this year.

First we found out that these two sweet girls(that have been family friends for many years) and there parents were in a terrible car accident. They were hit by a drunk driver on the way home from their new years party. Praise the Lord they will all be fine. Hadley had a lacerated spleen but it was a small cut and her body will slowly heal itself, so no surgery! YAY! She only stayed at the hospital 3 days and was released yesterday evening. Darian(who was thrown from the car) has no brain damage or bleeds in the brain. She had stitches and staples on her head and her muscles in her back pulled away from her spine. Also she had some teeth turn around in her month. She has had her teeth fixed on saturday and yesterday she was able to get up with a brace for the first time. So she is starting to heal up but is still in much pain.It will be a long process for her to get back to her busy bee self. So please keep this family in your prayers while they go threw this whole process of healing.

Also we had to say good bye to Aunt KK. She has a job in new york now so she had to head back for training. Her trip was way too short!

So New Year's Day did not go quite like we planned.
It was a day full of saying good bye's to hospital visits.
It was a very emotional one for me.
It was also a day of being grateful for the ones we love.
And a day God has shown His mercy and blessing to ring true in this new year.
