Maylee's Gone to the Dogs!

Here's a tip for parents to be: keep the camcorder handy, keep it queued and make sure you practice turning it on without actually looking at it. Otherwise, you might miss documenting moments like the one we caught on film this past Wednesday. Check out our latest little film to the right! Here's my challenge to you.....see if you can watch without cracking a smile! Thanks goes out to Harvey and Tobey!! As it turns out, you're not the useless mutts I once thought that you were.

Lessons Learned in 5 Months

1. The word May is now synonymous with new beginnings.
2. Songs about hot dogs are quite catchy
3. I used to think that "toodles" was the funny way my aunt Ginger would say goodbye. Little did I know that its a magical helper who contains all the tools to learning!
4. Rice cereal is properly eaten when you eat half and the other is smeared across your cheeks and brow.
5. 3 days + no dirties = Mount Vesuvius finally erupts and kills all the villagers
6. Holding a "big girl" like a baby is an amazing treat!
7. We are almost at the stage to where soon Dr. Worsley will start using puppets to entertain and get Maylee's attention. The doctor trips are going to be awesome!
8. Bluebonnets are beautiful.....so we should try and eat them.
9. Maylee can't get enough of her mommy ( like daughter, like daddy)
10. 5 months is literally a lifetime

As for Maylee's mommy, we want to say that you are indeed a marvel to us. We can't express the fullness of our love for you!.....but we'll certainly spend the rest of our lives trying. Thank you for all you do each and every day!
We created a little video for you on this celebratory occasion to display your great skill and to mark the first time that you and Maylee went toe to toe with the rice cereal! It was an epic battle but as always you knew what to do and how to do it. I hope everyone enjoys my take on this "first" of Maylee's. (look to the right---->)

5 months

Today my baby is 5 months. She is now curving in on to that big 6 month mark. It amazes me in some way that we are already here and how fast time has flown and in other ways I feel like she been here forever, this is simply a way of life. We fall in love with our little sweet pie more and more every day. She makes us laugh daily and her personality is just getting sweeter by the day.

(Beware this is a full picture blog of a certain cutie pie, so don't say you were not warned...)

These days Miss Myalee enjoys......
- tummy time and trying to move around(alot of air swimming happens !)

- playing in her activity center

-making new friends
-sitting in her bumbo while we eat dinner

- LOVES to go on walks, she just coos and giggle as we stroll. Will also take a good nap as were walking around.

-snuggling up with mommy and daddy
-a nibble on those fingers and a suck of the thumb
-but no worries our paci is still our BFF
-and watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

There so much more fun things I could list but these are just some of the highlights and thought I'd share.
